wind power rip off

What with the sustainable water, today as I type these words the wind whistles around the Library. Oh how it blows today 2/11/05.

Last year I wrote a letter to Nicola Hayward Thomas at BBC Radio Wales and James Maiden of Freinds of the Earth, after they had a demo outside the Welsh Assembly. the date of the letter 23/9/04.

In the letter there was mention of the roof rainwater collection systems and also WHY OH WHY OH WHY aren't they making wind harnessing systems for individual homes. The size of satellite dishes. What with all the Technological break throughs surely such a system would be more benificial to the consumer.

Even if they just harnessed enough power to use the roof water systems pumps, let alone anything else. I also wonder what having two such dishes would produce in terms of electical energy, maybe enough to cover the lighting of a home.

WHY OH WHY don't they have the boffins of our universities working on such system. BECAUSE THEY WANT YOU TO CONSUME AND CONSUME AND CONSUME. MORE VAT FOR THE GOVERNMENT, sustainability can go jump in the river huh?

Well talking of the river in the letters I also mentioned the river Taff that flows down through the Valleys of Wales to end up at Cardiff Bay. In the bygone era when our ancestors were more aware of how to harness the energy of the rivers for milling and what ever they had the water wheel. Havent we moved on enough to once again utilise it if just to power the lighting of the Taff trail, and remove the need for supply from the national grid.

Maybe then our street lighting bills would be reduced. ONCE AGAIN I ASK THIS QUESTION SHOULDN'T GOVERNMENT USE ITS RESOURSES TO LIGHTEN THE LOAD THE PEOPLE HAVE TO BEAR RATHER THAN CONTINUALLY ADDING TO THEIR BURDEN.

Will they put resourses to try out such a Wind Harnessing System similar to the good old weather vains. Catching the wind in what ever way it blows. Maybe only when the people demand it. But will they, do they even care.

The fat cats at the BBC can well afford the eletricity bills that they have, with their £300,000 a year salaries and £90,000 a year bonuses paid for by old age pensioners and others living on minimal incomes.

Its up to you people, I am doing my bit, will you do yours.

Best wishes to you all CRAZYDAVE.
